Being Black in America has always been a unique experience where we have had to get use to being treated like foreigners in the very nation that was built, literally, on our backs. Due to the recent Great Recession, the issue of poverty has become a shared experience as more and more individuals, Black, brown AND white, have fallen out of the Middle Class.
The greatest challenge we face as a nation in general, and as people of color specifically is the widening of the wealth gap. The following video explains the scope of the issue. |
